![]() So yeah pretty impressed by that first 'fight'. (That last part I do apreciate, I haven't seen many computers RPG pulling something like that) During combat you can actualy use actiont ot alk to the leader of the enemies and with a right combination of intimdation and persuasion comming from the right party members, convince him to surrender and leave the fight. You can inflict tilts on your enmies.? for example there is a 'flanking' condition if you manage to get two partty members on opposite side of an enemy. During combat, use some parts of the environement to deal mass damage to your enemies Avoid combat altogether by surendering and letting theml take you were they want. Avoid combat altogether by decieving your enemies You basicaly get two 'actions' per turn.įrom what I've seen of the game, outside of the mandatory tutorial sequence, there will be very little crisises but a lot of way to resolve each.įor example, the first hostile encounter you'll get outside of the tutorial fight, you will meet a band of thug who want to bring you to their employers and you can: I can confirm that combat (or 'crisis' as thre game call them) is turn based. i'll make another post after dipping in it a bit. Reminds le i need to try it again, see what changed. But i guess make sense the game still under construction. Almost every NPc gives a pretty strong sense of having an identity if that make sense.Īlso last time I played a large part of the intro had been removed, including the part that actualy explained wgéhat the actual 'tides' and let you choose them were which i found a bit odd. Still the design of a lot of things feel very vivid and unique, which is a very good point fo it. Admitedly it was still in beta but still, good god does it lag FAST, especialy considering how much of the game is told through dialogue rather than animation) What has impressed me a /lot less is how resource intensive the game has been for it's graphic quality so far (it's not bad at all but it doesn't feel it needs specs that high for what it shows. Or at least what litttle I managed to play of it. Rather than depeding of the luck of the dice you have a certain number of points, in intlelect/str/agility equivalents to spent before you can rest again. The game also as an interesting pool based rather than dice roll based system which is definittievely new. ![]() It want itself a spirirtual sucessor of sorts to Planescape Torment, (tall order), and I'll say this: while it's not quite there: both the very original design, and the writting have really impressed me so far. I normaly don't buy early access but i made an exception for this one and played a bit in September.
